METHODS: Since 1.12.90, all SHCS pts have been screened for anti-toxoplasma antibodies. CT was diagnosed in 12% (126/1018) of toxo+ pts. They represented 33% (126/385) of at risk pts (i.e. those with anti-toxoplasma IgG antibodies and CD4 cells less than 250/microliters). IgG titers increased in 22% of pts with CT as compared with 8% of pts without CT (p = 0.001). Repeated determination of IgG may be of interest in pts at risk for CT
